The countdown is on – the Amazon Original Series ‘World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji’ is launching this Friday, August 14th on Prime Video.
As Tough Mudder Challenges – Fiji is in full swing, take a break to watch the series launch of the most epic global adventure race ever attempted. Here’s 7 things you can expect to see when watching World’s Toughest Race:
1. Mud, Sweat and Tears
Just like we see on course, there will be twice as much on this brutal show. World’s Toughest Race is not for the faint of heart. In this challenge, teams from 33 countries race the clock and each other to cross the finish line while covering some of the world’s most diverse and rugged terrain.
2. Bear Grylls
You might know the British TV show host from his epic adventures, survivalist shows, and incredible feats. Grylls has documented treks through very hostile regions in the world. While he’s been through the gauntlet of difficult terrain and high-pressure scenarios, Grylls says World’s Toughest Race is his most intense show to date.
3. A Flood of Teamwork
For most, the challenge is to simply cross the finish line, but no one can do it alone. Cue Tough Mudder values and the importance of teamwork. No teammate gets left behind.
4. Non-Stop Racing
If you thought World’s Toughest Mudder is hard, try multiplying that by 11. That’s right, teams aren’t just racing for 24 hours. They’re racing 24 hours a day for 11 days straight. These rugged competitors have just 11 days to cross the wild, rough terrain in Fiji, covering 671 Kilometers (that’s 416 miles).
5. Tough Mudder Legionnaires
Keep an eye out for some seasoned Mudders as they include Gretchen Evens, Ryan Atkins and Rea Kolbl.
6. All The Emotions
From bravery to fear and disappointment to accomplishment, the World’s Toughest Race shows participants true, raw emotions in all forms. This isn’t just a physical race, it’s incredibly mental too. Challengers are pushed to their breaking point as they set out to accomplish personal goals and high-pressure situations in some of the world’s roughest land.
7. Rugged, Untouched Fiji Terrain
If you hear Fiji and think about a lush tropical paradise, you’re only getting a small dose of what the islands actually include. Jungle, Ocean, Highland, River & Island, World’s Toughest Race features Fiji’s uncharted waters and untouched heights.
