Hope you’re reading this Mudder Nation DC – October 15th & 16th is going to be an adventure for the books. Here are a few options of how you can keep the party going, well beyond the finish line.
5 Top DC Things To Do
- Take A Stroll In Capitol Hill
Capitol Hill may be known for its political landmarks but it’s also chock-full of historic architecture, low-key eateries, bright cafes and coffee shops, shops, and a weekly outdoor market.
- Taxi to Georgetown
Hop on the Potomac Water Taxi for a side adventure from DC to Georgetown. Play some indoor bocce ball at Pinstripes, climb the staircase from The Exorcist, follow in the footsteps of JFK on a guided self-walking tour, or enjoy a Georgetown Cupcake.
- Kayak on the Potomac
Keep it cityside while you paddle down the Potomac River and enjoy DC from a different point of view. Rent single or double kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, or canoes for your waterside adventure.
- Catch A Live Jazz Show
The country’s oldest jazz supper club is still serving up sounds. The Blues Alley Jazz Club is active all year long with ticketed events featuring local and touring musicians, artists, and comedians.
- Kingman and Heritage Island Park
Keep the adrenaline up with a visit to Kingman and Heritage Island Park, just outside of DC. Hike, fish, boat, bike, and explore at this island park just off the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail.
Sign up for your Tough Mudder DC event, before it sells out. September will be here before you know it, and the event wouldn’t be the same without you.
