If you’ve ever wondered WHY millions of us are suddenly running through mud and electricity, dunking ourselves in ice, and pushing our bodies to the limit, there’s now a movie for you.
“Rise of the Sufferfests” is the first feature documentary about Tough Mudder and the obstacle course craze. It explores the history of the sport, psychology behind it, personalities that drives it, and asks what the phenomenon says about life in the 21st century. ESPN calls it “a fascinating look at a fascinating world.” I call it a love letter to these life-changing events, and the amazing community that supports them. This is a must-see movie for all Mudders… and the family, friends and coworkers who think we’re all just a little bit crazy.

About the director:
Scott Keneally is the writer/director behind “Rise of the Sufferfests,” the first indie doc about the mad, muddy world of OCR. The self-proclaimed “beta-male” is a 10x Mudder who somehow — against all odds — gutted out 50+ miles at the past two World’s Toughest Mudders. He is looking forward to seeing you in the mud.
