Mudder History
I’ve been doing Tough Mudder Classics since 2016 on Colorado courses including Snowmass, Copper Mountain, and Sterling Ranch. My fiancé Jack and I have done every Mudder together. He is very supportive and we have similar goals, but we each have different fears to overcome on the course. We push each other to always do better!
I Mudder because…
It brought back my self worth. It makes me feel strong. It makes me feel like I can do anything I set my mind to. It’s not just an obstacle course to me. It’s part of my life. I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression since I was in high school. Tough Mudder is something that makes me forget about any of the negative in my life. I go in every year just hoping to finish and to complete something I couldn’t the year before, whether it be because of physical or mental strength. Just being able to overcome my fear of heights and jump off the King of Swingers was one of my greatest triumphs one year.
On the morning of a Mudder, I wake up feeling…
Both excited and terrified. My number one goal is always to complete an obstacle I may not have been able to before and to overcome my fears. Every time I set foot on the course, I challenge my physical and mental toughness in order to give my true and honest best.
My favorite part of being a Mudder is…
Being a part of something bigger than myself that displays camaraderie, heart, and passion. I’ve never felt more support than what I feel on the course. I love feeling like a part of something big where everyone just wants you to succeed and feel good about yourself!
Being a Mudder has changed how I…
View any challenges in life. Tough Mudder has truly changed my perspective and given me the confidence to feel like I’m able to overcome anything I set my mind to.
